Finding someone to build you a website can be a total minefield! There are so many options out there, so much
variety in costs, structures, designs, templates, coding options.. for anyone with little knowledge of the digital industry, you can end up paying huge amounts of money for, well not much.
I am completely transparent when it comes to websites, I explain all processes in a way you can totally grasp and create you a beautifully designed, well branded website that is affective and functional. I use WIX as a platform, I
don't use templates and I don't recode your current website.
I've been asked so many questions about building a website, Click here, or scroll to the bottom of this page for a no jargon run through!
So how does it work?
We arrange a call to discuss what you want, what you like and we talk about your business, who you want to target and what kind of website you're looking for. I then send you away for a week to have a snoop online, and find me all sorts of colours, websites, images, etc that you like. This simply builds a picture in my mind of what you like.
From there I create you an account with WIX, create a first draft and send you a link to take a look, we then go the site together making comments and changes, until you have a site you love. It really is as simple as that. I don't host your website, I never own your website. I set you up an account and teach you on a 40 minute consultation, how to edit and change your own site into the future. Don't worry, I'm always here to help if you get stuck, or make you your own instructional video to help you. So your website is all yours!

questions, questions, questions
Are your websites mobile optimised? (a mobile version of your website)
Do you do S.E.O? (Search engine optimisation - getting higher on google)
Yes to a degree, I can only do so much. I link your website up to google and enter in your page names and descriptions, which appear in google too. For more information on how to improve your google ranking, download my free 'Simple guide to SEO". here.
Do you do emails?
By do, I assume "host" - like 'Yahoo' or 'hotmail' is a host, no I don't host your email, many companies charge through the nose for a personalised email, I would recommend 'ecohosting' for your email needs, I have no affiliation or contract with them, but have used them allot in the past because their service, support and pricing, in my opinion is unbeatable.
Can you edit my current website
No, I start you from scratch, with a properly designed, branded and set up website.
What if I don't know how to edit my website when it's finished?
I provide a 40-60 minute tutoring session, showing you how to edit your website. I've worked with nearly a hundred clients, some who are real technophobes, who now all feel incredibly comfortable editing their own site. I build your site in such a way, so that if you're able to use Microsoft Word, or an email for example.. you'll be absolutely fine. I'm always available on email for questions, i'm happy to send you instructional videos to help you too. I'm not just going to cast you into the ocean of the web and leave you to float around wondering how to write your own blog!
I don't have a domain / I have a domain (website address)
If you don't have one, buy one from Godaddy, their support is brilliant. Nearly all websites you buy domains from cost more or less the same. I would always buy the .com and .co.uk version of your website address as well.
If you have one that is attached to your old website, as long as you have the log in for the website address you bought it from, all is simple and all is well. I would simply need to log into it and point it to your new website.. easy as pie.
I'm with a company who host my website and my email, what do I do?
Mostly nothing, I would do most of the work for you, as I've mentioned. I don't host (mainly because I don't want to own your website, and I want you to have full control over it, I have too many clients for this!) you'd have to find another email host (I advise 'ecohosting' (as they offer the best service, price and support). Have a chat to them, then with your website, well I can handle that bit. The only thing I need to know is who has your domain now? Is it your design company or is it a website like Godaddy?
